Georgine Welo, regionalism, and reaping what we sow

Bob Rosenbaum · March 22, 2011 · Leave a Comment

I've been tough on South Euclid Mayor Georgine Welo. Not unjustifiably, in my mind. But there is another side to the story that deserves mention. I only realized this after learning last night (March 21) that  Cleveland Heights City Councilmember Mark Tumeo has resigned from … [Read more...] about Georgine Welo, regionalism, and reaping what we sow

Oakwood: The developer is starting to sound angry

Bob Rosenbaum · March 10, 2011 · 5 Comments

The rhetoric around the Oakwood project is starting to get silly. Opponents of the development are distributing information that says it will destroy the community, which strikes me as hyperbole. Even squirrels have bad days

Bob Rosenbaum · February 16, 2011 · Leave a Comment

My home office overlooks a corner of my backyard that I've started call The Playground. It has a small serenity pond and plenty of features to climb on, making it a favorite place for squirrels to frolic. There are six or seven that seem to make my yard home, including one … [Read more...] about Even squirrels have bad days

Oakwood’s legacy: It’s not a walk in the park

Bob Rosenbaum · February 2, 2011 · 9 Comments

First Interstate Properties’ Mitch Schneider, as everyone knows, wants to develop the former Oakwood Club property – part retail, part high-density residential. A large number of people have been vocal about not wanting the development. They reason that we have enough retail … [Read more...] about Oakwood’s legacy: It’s not a walk in the park
