There are three houses in a row on Berkshire being rebuilt. This one is gutted to the beams and trusses. No walls. A fascinating sight in the night.
Last night, after a friend who lives on the other side of these houses from me alerted me to this sight, I went by it to see if I could take a picture when the lights were on. It was around 9:55, and the lights were shining out the empty windows. But as soon as I got in front of the place, they flicked right off. Rotten luck.
Tonight I went back an hour earlier, set up and took pictures in four locations. Because it was so dark, some of the pictures took 25 seconds to make. Afterward, I packed my stuff safely back into the car, out of the 29 degree snowy (!) weather. I did this work with an umbrella. So much for March going out like a lamb. As I left, I kid you not, the lights blinked out. Remarkable luck.
